WP 5: IP Practices - Mapping, assessment and empirical verification

Objectives: 

• Mapping EU and Member States’ legal framework impacting animation content creation, production, distribution and export.
• Mapping contractual practices, to understand the interplay between key actors and their bargaining power in the value chain, remuneration and incentive mechanisms, and the impact of AI on such processes.
• Assessment of IP management processes in the EAIE value-chain and their impact on value generation.
• Analysis of IP management processes of the EAIE value chain about the new challenges associated with the rise of AI technologies.
• Identify SWOT of the EAIE value chain and AI compared to US and South Korean case studies.
• Identify barriers to exports through comparative legal mapping and stakeholders’ interviews on three foreign markets

WP 6: IP Practices - Developing Best Practices, Testing and Training

Objectives:

• Analysis of the socio-economic status of EIAE in the local socio-economic system by proposing a quantitative analysis based on firm-level data.
• Co-development and co-validation of best practices.
• IP-Thlons on exports of European animated IPs abroad.
• Pilot Training on the Management and Exploitation of Intellectual Property (IP) in Animated Films.
• Pilot Training on Artificial Intelligence AI and IP in Animation Creation and Exploitation.
